SEPA SHRM holds monthly breakfast meetings featuring keynote speakers covering timely topics related to human resources. Monthly breakfast meetings start at 8:00 am and allow for a half-hour or more of informal networking and fellowship among members. The speaker presentation commences at 9:00 am. Breakfast meetings end at 10:15 am. Most monthly meetings qualify for 1 HRCI credit towards the SEPA SHRM recertification.

Costs for each breakfast meeting (unless otherwise noted) are:
  • $12 for chapter members
  • $17 for non-chapter members & guests
  • $6 for students; Temple Students: free

Chapter Meeting Location & Directions

Third Tuesday of each month at the Travelodge Northeast. Located on Route 1, three miles south of the PA Turnpike, exit 351 (old exit 28) or four miles west of I-95.


Please join us for our monthly meeting on Tuesday, May 20.  Our topic will be "Without a Script:  Improv and Storytelling Skills in OD/HR." 

Improvisational theater and storytelling skills can be extremely useful in training and organizational development activities at your workplace.  In addition, these activities can be an excellent resource in areas such as planning, teambuilding, crisis resolution, and employee relations.  Practice using Improv skills in a safe learning environment while applying them to assess needs, create a vision, and strategically plan.  This dynamic and and interactive presentation will present concrete skills that you can place "in your toolbox" and use in a variety of workplace situations.

Please join us for SEPA SHRM's Annual Special Professional Development and Networking Program!  This year's event will be held on June 3, 2008 from 5:00 to 9:00.  It will be held at Abington Memorial Hospital, Lenfest Pavilion, Frobese Auditorium.

The Program will feature Steve Miranda, SPHR, GPHR, Chief HR and Strategic Planning Officer, SHRM, as he takes us through his captivating presentation, "The Quick and the Dead - HR Strategies for a New Millennium, aka, the Seven Deadly Sins of the HR "

The Program will include a Networking Reception, Prizes and participants can obtain 2.0 HRCI credits for attending.

Additionally, a Transition Workshop for those in transition, will be held prior to event, from 3:00 until 5:00.
