Please Bring Donations to the March Chapter Meeting!
At the February Chapter meeting, we passed out bags for members to return with donation items for our March Community Connect partner: The Grace and Cecil Bean Soup Kitchen. If you didn't receive a bag, any bag will do! Simply bring your donations to the March Chapter Meeting on Tuesday, March 20th.
The Soup Kitchen is requesting personal items in particular, such as:
shampoo, conditioner, soap, deodorant, combs, brushes, toothbrushes, toothpaste, razors, shaving cream and feminine hygiene products
The Grace and Cecil Bean Soup Kitchen is housed at St. John’s Episcopal Church on Airy Street in Norristown and serves over 600 warm meals on a weekly basis. Grace Bean, 93 and Cecil Bean, 86, continue to run the soup kitchen and have been serving the hungry of Norristown for over thirty years.
